Haier présente son téléviseur contrôlé par le cerveau humain
Le fait de chercher sa télécommande TV tout le temps ne seront plus que des mauvais souvenirs avec cette nouvelle forme de contrôle à distance qui devrait arriver dans un avenir très proche. Cette semaine à l’IFA, Haier a dévoilé la première technologie d’interface neuronale directe – aussi appelée IND, BCI (brain-computer interface) pour Smart TV, qui utilise la technologie NeuroSky ThinkGear. En termes plus simples, le Haier Cloud Smart TV vous permet d’interagir avec le téléviseur en utilisant votre cerveau.
Cette Smart TV peut interagir avec les téléspectateurs par le biais du micro-casque NeuroSky MindReader, qui détecte les ondes cérébrales humaines révélant l’état mental d’une personne et ensuite traduit les ondes cérébrales en signaux numériques que le téléviseur peut reconnaître. Les utilisateurs peuvent également contrôler leur téléviseur avec toutes les applications de divertissement inclus.
Avec une telle symbiose homme/machine le cloud computing accède vraiment à un niveau supérieur.
La Smart TV de Haier est prévu pour octobre en Chine à un prix indéterminé. Il n’y a aucune mention quant au lancement américain pour l’instant.
SAN JOSE, Calif. & BERLIN–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The world’s first Brain-Computer Interface Technology (BCI) Smart TV will debut at the IFA Messe Berlin Conference. Manufactured by Haier, leading China consumer technology company, and Powered by NeuroSky ThinkGear technology, the Haier Cloud Smart TV offers the ability for users to interact with their Smart TV using their brains.
Demonstrations will be available at the IFA Consumer Electronics Unlimited Conference, Haier booth: Hall 3.2/stand 134. The TV is scheduled to be released in October of this year in China at a price yet to be determined.
Unlike a traditional TV, Haier’s Smart TV can interact with viewers via NeuroSky’s MindReader headset. NeuroSky’s brainwave technology can detect human brainwave patterns revealing a person’s mental state. The NeuroSky MindReader then translates the monitored brainwaves into digital signals that the television can recognize. The brain-controlled TV applications allow users to develop control over their concentration and relaxation abilities through entertainment applications. Haier’s Home Cloud Solution provides an exciting “Cloud Family” experience to consumers, a step into cloud service and a milestone in lifestyle change.
